If we talk about the scope after BCA then there is great scope of BCA. A BCA candidate can get job opportunities in programming, networking, system administration etc. Companies like WIPRO, TCS etc.specialize in these areas. And you know what the scope is not limited to IT companies only. You can have job opportunities in other fields also like banking sector, telecommunication, and dairy sector. These sectors appoint BCA students in their IT sections. For higher opportunities one should go for MCA after completing BCA. After that they can get higher positions in their career.
Few options are available in government sector also for the BCA students. They can get job in Petroleum sector like ONGC, BHARAT PETROLEUM, or they can work for Telecom Sector like BSNL, MTNL etc.
Now if we talk about the college for doing BCA, then what I personally feel is that college not really matters these days. What really matters is your competence and ability. If you are capable and you have great technical skills, companies would definitely hire you because they look for a competent person no matter which college he/she opted to do BCA. For instance two persons go for an interview in a company one is he who has completed his BCA from a reputed college or university but he has not amazing technical skills, and has not up to date technical knowledge, while the other one has completed his BCA not from any reputed college but is having amazing technical skills, he keeps himself updated with the present technology and do research on IT industry…tell me whom would company appoint? Obviously the latter one because they want a candidate who can help in developing their company…so just compare your qualities with your competitors not your college or university. At the end its only and only your talent and ability that counts not any other factor. Whatever you choose to do, do it with sincerity and complete dedication and it will automatically bring lots of scope for you.
